Modern and Mid-Century Modern Architecture in Boulder
If you take a tour of the neighborhoods near west Baseline - Mariposa, Bluebell and King to the south, or around Circle Drive, Christmas Tree and Willowbrook (off 6th and Cascade to the north) - you'll find delightful examples of post-war American modern design.
James Hunter, Hobart Wagener, and Charles Haertling were the most prolific, and many of their houses are extant. Other architects, including but not limited to Jacques Hampton, Bernard Cahlender, Tician Papachristou, L. Gale Abels, and Roger Easton, designed fascinating houses and commercial buildings here and in other cities.
